A Managing Broker for Long & Foster REALTORS® in Fairfax, Virginia, Val has been a REALTOR® since 1979. Licensed in Maryland, DC, and Virginia, she was awarded Manager of the Year by Long & Foster in 2001. She has taught seminars in recruiting and retention, negotiation with agents, contracts, agency, fair housing, and antitrust.

Currently an independent consultant, Michael's clients include Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, (Mid-Atlantic, Northern California, Dallas-Fort Worth, and New England) and McEnearney & Associates of Metropolitan DC. As a senior instructor for GCAAR, he teaches most of the continuing education courses required by the District of Columbia, has worked with a number of successful agents and managers across the nation as a professional coach, and is a featured speaker at the Coldwell Banker International Business Conferences, Elite Retreats, and Global Management Summits.
Caroline Carter
Caroline pioneered home staging in the DC metro area and is the President and CEO of Done in a Day, Inc. She and her team have staged hundreds of homes; many of which received offers during their first open house.

A long standing member of the Maryland and DC Bar Associations, Suzanne has been a real estate attorney for over 15 years. In addition to conducting thousands of settlements throughout her career, Suzanne is certified to teach over 20 topics for continuing education credit. She also enjoys teaching Contract Basics at GCAAR.

A native of the Washington DC and Maryland suburbs, Melinda has been helping people buy and sell properties for more than 22 years. She is ranked in the top ½ of REALTORS® nationwide, and graduated with a degree in Chinese History from the College of Wooster in Ohio.
Pat Hiban, CRS, GRI, ABR
A REALTOR® since 1987, Pat has since sold over one billion dollars in residential home sales. Pat owns Pat Hiban Real Estate Group, the highest producing real estate independent in the area in 2005. He has also been named a "Member Elite" of REALTOR® Magazine's "Top 100 Residential Salespeople" for the last 5 years in a row. He was also on the number one team nationwide with Keller Williams Realty in 2006.
K. Adrian Hunnings, GRI
Adrian manages the Bethesda Office of Weichert REALTORS® and holds associate broker licenses in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. An active GCAAR member, he has been on the Board of Directors for 3 years and has served on the Contract and Clause and Grievance Committees. He regularly teaches agency CE classes at GCAAR.
Vimal Kapoor
Vimal is an expert in residential construction and indoor environmental issues. He is a certified building analyst, has conducted numerous energy audits, and advised consumers on building green and improving the energy efficiency in their homes. As an accomplished real estate instructor, his classes are lively, informative, and draw heavily from his field experience as a home inspector. Vimal is president inspector of Prime Property Inspectors, Inc. and has over 35 years of engineering and architectural experience.
Thomas Lynch
Tom is currently principal broker of the Virginia residential real estate company Realitywatch.com, LLC and broker/owner of Thomas J. Lynch Real Estate. He brings over 35 years of experience dealing with transactions in both commercial and residential venues. He has also been an instructor at the National Institute of Real Estate (NIRE), now the Mosley Institute, teaching all phases of the Principles of Real Estate course with special emphasis on contracts, agency, taxation, and appraising and investment analysis. Tom continues to teach Brokerage and Real Estate Law as required course for Virginia real estate brokers license.
Linda de Marlor
Linda is the founder of Taxmasters, Inc., an accounting firm which serves more than 2,000 clients. She has served as a resident tax expert for WMAL (ABC) radio and has lectured on tax laws throughout the United States and Europe. Linda is also a GRI instructor for GCAAR.

Randall M. Rothstein, Esq.
Randall has been a settlement attorney serving all Maryland counties and Washington, DC since 1981. He serves on GCAAR's Contract and Clauses Committee and is regularly involved in education for the professional real estate community. He has been honored by GCAAR as Affiliate of the Year for his contributions to the real estate profession, the Association, and the community. He obtained his BA in Business Administration from Syracuse University in 1972 and his JD from Southwestern University in 1979.
Russell Rothstein
Russell is a Washington area native, former REALTOR®, and a local mortgage banker since 1982. He is a leader and innovator in the reverse mortgage industry always staying ahead of the curve. His company, Beacon Mortgage, has been originating reverse mortgages for four years and maintains FHA's top reverse mortgage designation.
Jim Semeyn
Jim is a seasoned loan officer who has served the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia real estate communities for more than 21 years. He has trained mortgage brokers, mortgage lenders, real estate agents, over 5,000 loan officers, processors, and agents nationwide. Jim's approach to training is based on the premise that first and foremost, learning must be fun. His keen awareness of the mortgage and real estate industries, coupled with his own industry perspectives and predictions, always add to his lively presentations.
Kevin Shirley, GRI, e-PRO
A real estate professional for ten years, Kevin was part of the GCAAR Leadership Institute Class of 2005. He has served on GCAAR's Grievance and Professional Development Committees, and is on the 2006 WDCAR Board of Directors. He has also volunteered for Hospice Care of Washington, DC, Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League, Food & Friends, AIDS Ride, and OutSmart in the Midlands. Currently an office manager, he is licensed in DC, MD, and VA.
